Edmonton Engagement Session | NES

We love it when our couples are so open and kind about their experience with us. It is especially heart-warming when they are so moved by their images after only seeing 3 preview engagement photographs on facebook as happened with Angela and Patrick 2 weeks ago. We received an e-mail from them and they kindly permitted us to share this excerpt from it on our blog.

“Our families are pretty thrilled with the three preview images – My Dad is especially a fan of the Nintendo engagement ring photo – I used to play Nintendo with him when I was a little girl. That was our thing! I realized in hindsight that it was a great idea to use the NES for the pictures because our wedding is sort of vintage, too. My dress, my bridesmaids’ dresses, and Patrick’s tux are all vintage style, so the NES really fits with that and shows off our mutual geekiness. It’s really “us”.

(Actually, I can also remember coming over to Patrick’s house to play Nintendo just before we started dating! I had such a big crush on him and he’d never played many video games as a child, so it was a lot of fun showing him my favorite games and teaching him how to play.)“
