Edmonton Spring wedding inspiration

{26th February 2015}

As Spring approached in late February, Edmonton Wedding Blogger Stacey of yegwed and I started to think about am Edmonton Spring wedding inspiration session. Stacey had the magnificent idea of incorporating a modern take on the 1960s in the Spring wedding session. This was shown in the choice of updo by Jenn Chivers and the short shift-style version of the convertible Hayley Paige wedding dress from Delica Bridal.

Rosella of Studio Bloom explained: “In order to create the spring look that so many Brides are currently requesting, we were careful to arrange the flowers in a loose but cohesive way. We chose a variety of blooms that collectively have a great deal of texture that creates more depth than the traditional round and compact arrangement. Colors are entirely dependent on the scheme, but we have the freedom to add pops of the unexpected and it all works together to create a carefully crafted combination that looks very casual and “thrown together”. The blooms we used are a new variety of mini gerbera called pomponi in pink and peach, white roses, buplereum, brunia, orange dutch tulips, queen anne’s lace, dusty miller and thryptomene.”Yeg Wed Spring-18_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-13_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-19_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-24_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-28_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-43_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-34_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-48_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-30_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-41_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-54_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-57_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-45_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-59_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-64_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-71_Image by FO PhotographyPolka dots and stripes cake by Cakes by Candace adorned with Studio Bloom flowers.Yeg Wed Spring-77_Image by FO PhotographyDelicate water colour rose stationery suite by Anika Loewen Design.Yeg Wed Spring-79_Image by FO PhotographyMinimalistic beach water colour stationery suite by Anika Loewen Design.Yeg Wed Spring-90_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-106_Image by FO PhotographyYeg Wed Spring-93_Image by FO PhotographyThe inclusion of Damon’s leather jacket was a little nod to the 1960s Rocker culture. The Stella & Dot accessories that Chelsea provided were the final touches that made Ashley’s look really stand out. A few weeks ago, Stacey featured the session on yegwed; you can see a different set of images in that feature.

Many thanks to all the Edmonton wedding vendors who contributed to this marvelous Spring wedding inspiration.
