Behind the Apron: Creative Sustenance with Titilope Sonuga

Creative Sustenance with Titilope Sonuga started with a Land Acknowledgment. This was a great segue into how key ingredients for the recipes had migrated to or been adapted the lands of Amiskwaciywâskahikan.

Participants enjoyed pastries from Afro Lochi Nija before they started to prepare Nigerian dishes like Jollof Rice, Oven Roasted Pepper Fish, Fried Plantain, & Puff Puffs. Afterwards, the participants sat together to enjoy their cooking while Titilope facilitated a group conversation about restorative practices that fuel creativity.

This event was done in collaboration with Feed The Soul YEG at EPL’s The Kitchen.
