One of the flats in our block caught fire today but thankfully no one was hurt or killed. Fire men finished putting it out before I went ahead to get these images of them & their fire engines. Thanks to Crawley branch of West Sussex Fire Rescue team for their rapid response and friendliness as they ensured that everyone was ok and calm.

Just before they left, they asked me to take their photo; the next 2 are entirely their ideas!

Thank goodness no one was hurt! Such crisp images ~ love the rolled up yellow hoses and the last two photos ~ how funny! xx
One of our favourite images is of the hoses, even if I found myself asking one of the fire men if I could take a photo of their hoses without getting in the way of their work. To his credit, he didn’t crack up in laughter at that request!
Glad everyone is okay, I love how you never miss an opportunity! Next thing we know you’ll be capturing burning buildings by stowing away on their fire engine =P
Thanks Jeff. Love the idea of journalistic coverage of their work but only if I don’t get in their way. You know me, never miss an opportunity hehe.
Thank God noone was hurt- great shots and LOVE the firemen posing.
Thanks Nanya! I couldn’t believe it when they stuck those poses haha!
